War means destruction.
People are killed or injured,build-ings and cities are destroyed.
There are not the only terrible results of war.
Mature is also damaged and the environment is polluted by weapons used in war.

Many societies have idealized soldiers.
They are seen as models of selflessness and courage.
Medals are given,statues built,songs written and films made.
People are taught in this way that wars are necessary and for the greater good.
Who teaches this and why?
